There are several reasons to visit Maker Heights. Firstly it’s situated in an amazing location. Perched on top of the penninsular from one direction you can see across to Plymouth and Drake’s Island, in the other Cawsand. The Canteen is run by a couple of excellent chef’s – (read more) – they strongly promote using locally sourced produce. Their baked goods are delicious! Tables do get booked up at peak times, and check timings as Maker Canteen is only open 9.30-16.00pm.
Maker Heights not only offers delicious food outlets, in addition there’s a lovely shop (independent creations), a fabulous cocktail bar (seasonal) + various pop-up theatre, arts & music events. If you enjoy a good walk you can head down the hill to Kingsand and Cawsand for a quick swim, or more refreshments and then stomp back up to Maker.
